Why I Trust God with My Heart and Even in My Mess!

I look around at my life and I think there is no way out. Things seem hopeless and I get down. I look at my own abilities and I compare my strength against my problems and I shake my head knowing there is no way I can win. But when I get like this I stop and think: I don’t want to give up – I want to move forward – I want to be healthy, I want to reach my goals, I yearn for joy, peace and love. And I remember although I can’t – HE CAN.

What It Means for a Survivor to Trust God

What It Means for a Survivor to Trust God

Trusting God is believing that God is your heavenly Father and that He wants a relationship with you so that He can, love, bless, protect, guide and lead you into His plan for your life. For a Survivor this is particularly important because we yearn for someone good and powerful to help and heal us. Someone that we trust will not hurt us. This is difficult for many us because we have been hurt so badly and often by someone in a position of power that we don’t trust anyone.
