The Survivor’s Prayer

Your Salvation is the most important thing to God. It means so much to God to have you home with him where you belong. Home is eternity in Heaven. Home is where your Family is – it is where your Heavenly Father lives. God created each of us. We are his children. His Son Jesus is our Savior. Jesus made a way for us to reunite with our Father since sin separates us from Him. Because we are descendants of Adam, the first man, we were born into Sin. Each person born on this Earth inherited a sin debt. The price of this sin is death.

We can’t do a certain amount of good deeds to earn our way into Heaven. We must accept Jesus as our Savior, the one that paid the price for us because he loves us.

God does not want to hurt you. He is not evil. He doesn’t want to punish you. He wants to love you, protect you, forgive you and guide you. He wants you in His life just like any parent wants their child. He wants you to believe His Word more than you believe anything or anyone else. He wants you to believe that He loves you.

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior you are saying that you trust, believe and love Jesus who is the Son of God. You admit that you are powerless without Jesus and you admit that you need Him in your life as your leader. You are also admitting that only Jesus is qualified and able to guide and lead you into the life God has planned for you. Jesus does not and will not ever want to hurt you. Finally, when you accept Jesus Christ into your life, you are stating that you believe that He died on the cross just for you, rose from the dead and lives now. Jesus can only come through invitation. Invite him into your heart by saying this prayer:

Father in Heaven, with all my heart I believe that Jesus has been raised from the dead. I know now that I am a sinner and I want to repent of my sins. I want to do your will because I know that it is best for my life.  I let go of the past. I invite you into my heart Jesus. I receive the forgiveness that you have given me. I receive your Word, my new birth and that you have cleansed and washed me in your precious blood. Now I ask you to fill me with Your Spirit.

In Jesus’ name.

Amen
